The California RNG Fleet Fund

California heavy-duty truck owners are in a bind. Diesel engines are on their way out, but switching to an alternative fuel can be a daunting undertaking. To help California fleets transition to renewable natural gas (RNG), Clean Energy is incentivizing the purchase of Kenworth & Peterbilt X15N trucks that fuel at our stations.

Renewable natural gas is
a practical and proven
solution, available today.

RNG is a low-carbon fuel with a robust network of fueling stations throughout California. Major shippers like Amazon and UPS, as well as local California fleets like National Ready-Mixed Concrete and Gazelle Transportation, trust RNG to power their heavy-duty fleets and drastically reduce their carbon emissions.

If you have a fleet with fewer than 50 trucks, or less than $50 million in total gross annual revenues, you are not subject to CARB’s Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) rule and can continue to purchase RNG trucks. Larger fleets (50+ trucks), or those part of a larger fleet under common ownership and control, can also purchase RNG trucks as long as milestone group EV requirements are also met.

It is the responsibility of every fleet to fully research and determine whether your operations are in compliance with the ACF regulation.

Cheaper isn’t always better.
It is this time.

Scaleable

Receive up to $50,000 per vehicle with a 5-year Clean Energy fueling agreement for 12,000 GGEs annually. The incentive amount, associated GGEs, and term can all be scaled down, as desired.

Sustainable

Clean Energy provides negative carbon-intensity RNG at all our participating stations in California, meaning our fuel does more for the environment than even battery-electric technology.

Affordable

Pay as low as $3 per gallon of RNG with flexible discount structures and fuel card payment options.

Convenient

Our statewide fueling network includes 25+ fast-fill, tractor-trailer friendly stations throughout California.

Kenworth or Peterbilt

Choose your preferred vehicle make and model, as long as it’s equipped with the Cummins X15N natural gas engine.

Measurable

We’ll provide customers with annual reports on their carbon intensity and emissions reduction.

Driven to reduce carbon.

RNG in California.

There are over 25 Clean Energy RNG stations eligible for our fleet fund program, all strategically located around key logistics thoroughfares and the ports of Los Angeles, Long Beach and Oakland.

Our station network in Southern California is particularly robust, with over twenty stations spanning Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, and Orange counties. We also continue to build new stations to support our customers.
